Peter C. Harkins, Jr. is a Managing Director of HKL.
His experience encompasses numerous contentious M&A transactions and proxy contests occurring in the U.S. and Europe over the past five years, along with corporate governance consulting for publicly traded companies in the US, EU and MENA markets. He has advised on transactions valued at over 65 billion and his clients included Deutsche Börse Group, Xerox Holdings Corporation, Sandridge Energy, Inc., and Global Telecom Holding S.A.E., among others. Mr. Harkins has also provided stakeholder communications consulting and related services for private equity firms during end of fund transactions and fund restructurings.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Harkins worked at the Debt Exchange, where he performed due diligence on loan portfolios that were part of the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Troubled Asset Relief Program.
Mr. Harkins was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree by Hamilton College in Clinton, NY, and a Juris Doctor degree by New England School of Law in Boston, MA.
